Location info
Guest scores and detailed hotel feedback
The hotel provided a decent base to explore Cairns and surroundings, but some aspects were disappointing. The rooms were not up to standard with missing amenities for the number of guests, and there was a constant unpleasant smell nearby. The location was convenient with easy access to various attractions, although there were concerns about safety and the presence of certain activities. The dining experience offered good value for money, but there were issues with certain services like laundry and tours assistance.
The hotel is quite disappointing in various aspects: the room had a strong smoke smell, noisy surroundings throughout the night made it impossible to sleep, and the outdated room did not match the advertised pictures with uncomfortable beds in need of new mattresses. Although the staff was somewhat helpful, they lacked urgency in addressing issues or providing a satisfactory resolution. On the positive side, the location was convenient for accessing various attractions in Cairns, and the comfortable bed was a redeeming feature amidst the other shortcomings.
I had a mixed experience staying at this resort. The service was friendly and the location was convenient, but the rooms were disappointing in terms of quality and outdated appearance. The dining options were good but at an extra cost, and the facilities were in need of some improvements.
The hotel is nicely positioned just metres from the pool, which was convenient, but I was disappointed with the ceiling dripping water on us and the strong smell of stale cigarette smoke in the unserviced rooms. It's questionable why they would expect families to sleep in such conditions.
